A rare, Extra Large Top Quality Miocene-Pliocene Mastodon molar from Chatham Co., Georgia. This is an extinct elephant ancestor that inhabited North America during the late Miocene to late Pliocene. This molar is  big with 4.5 cusp rows with essentially no cusp wear. So, this is a recently erupted or unerupted tooth. Cusps are 1-3/4" high. Exceptional articulation. Excellent black color! This is an exceptionally well fossilized Mastodon specimen. Note - Comes complete with custom steel stand as pictured. No damage. No restoration or repair. An exceptional, authentic Mastodon tooth. A Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. An October Fossil of the Month. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 2-3/8" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. Anterior serrations and posterior serrations are excellent. Serrated to the tip. Note - the top has some minor planting etching and there is one natural wear facet on the side (very typical for the Campanian Tyrannosaurs). No cracks, repair or restoration. An Ultra Rare, rooted Top Quality Allosaurus fragilis tooth measuring 3-3/8". This Allosaurus crown measures 1-1/2" and is wide for its size (5/8"). The enamel is high quality. Great rich brown color. Very good serrations on both sides all the way to the wear facet. Very good serrations for a large tooth. Two cracks was stabilizied. A little repair was done on the narrowest section of the root. Excellent overall condition with very good serrations. An excellent quality tooth!
