A VERY RARE Top Quality, rooted Leptoceratops gracilis tooth from the late Cretaceous of western North America. Leptoceratops is a smaller "ceratopsian" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance formations. There small size and small horns made them relatively easy prey and their population size was quite small compared to other herbivores. The enamel is high quality with nice color and patina. The chewing surface is very well preserved. This tooth has little wear overall with one wear facet on the reverse side.. Leptoceratops commonly have wear facets on their teeth.  No cracks. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Niobrara Co., Wyoming. Note - this tooth comes with a Riker display frame. Authenticity guaranteed. An ultra rare Big, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a large adult Rex. A July 2020 Fossil of the Month. This stocky Rex crown measures 3-5/8" (straight line) and is thick for its size (1-1/4"). The enamel is highest quality. Great rich dark chocolate brown and black color. Excellent serrations on the anterior and posterior serrations. Note - There is no wear facet at the tip and this tooth is serrated to the tip (a recently erupted BIG tooth - rare). A Paraconularia crustala, a Conulariid, from Holdenville, Oklahoma. Conulariid, is a genus named for the Latin word conulus or cone. This fossil is shaped like a rectangular cone. The fossil is made up of rows of calcium phosphate rods which is the same material that a fossil shark is made of. This creature was placed Cnidaria phylum in the Animal kingdom, and its relatives include the corals, anemones, and jellyfish. Exceptional preservation. This is a Wewoka Fm., Pennsylvanian Period fossil (300 MYA). Authenticity guaranteed. A very unique display piece!
