A Top Quality Tietea singularis, petrified Tree Fern, trunk slice from the Maranhão Basin, NE Brazil. This tree fern was from the Pedra do Fogo Formation and is Permian age age (265 MYA). Both sides are polished. The interior is highly vascular with unqiue pores and channels that have been silicified into agate. Trunk slice thickness is 3/16" and makes a great display. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek Formation. This is a special horn with exceptional detail preserved and excellent color & natural patina. Fantastic surface articualtion. You can see all of the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. Plus this horn includes most of the orbital which is quite rare - a very complete specimen. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple - some minor crack fill and approximately 1" of the tip end was restored which is very minimal restoration for a horn. This is not a horn that is 20 - 30% or more putty which you most often see. It comes with a custom steel stand as shown. A fantastic fossil overall for display. An ultra rare, Auriculatus upper jaw, parasymphyseal tooth from Kazakhstan. The parasymphyseal is very rare since this tooth is not lost during feeding. There are not many of these teeth in the fossil record. The brown bourlette is incredible - 100% complete! The fine serrations are complete with a killer side cusp.
