An ULTRA Rare, TOP QUALITY Parotodus benedeni tooth from Sharktooth Hill, near Bakersfield California. A December 2022 Fossil of the Month. This tooth has a highly desirable light tan enamel and a very massive root. This Parotodus benedeni tooth remains mounted on the original Round Mountain Silt matrix and it is sitting on a chunk of whale bone. The crown enamel has very good luster and very sharp edges. Highest quality enamel! Note -  a small (~1/8") tip repair was professionally done.  A very difficult tooth to locate and an EXCEPTIONAL Collector's tooth! A Top Quality, Extra Large rare transition GW tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli. An upper jaw anterior tooth. Another December 2017 Fossil of the Month. The C. hubbelli serrations are full at the base of the cutting edge, transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. This tooth has an excellent blue colored crown ("blue site"), brown root, and a vivid dark maroon "gum line". Excellent color. No repair. A RARE, Top Quality Dakotaraptor steini (raptor) tooth. A near or small adult specimen. Dakotaraptor steini is one of two recently described Hell Creek Fm. raptors. An August Fossil of the Month. This tooth is 9/16" which is a good sized. The enamel is excellent with a great dark brown color with some root etching. This tooth does not have the multiple prominent longitudinal "ribs" run the length of the crown. Excellent large posterior and small (weak) anterior serrations.
