A rare, Top Quality Columbian Mammoth (Mammuthus columbi), an early elephant molar found in Patricio Co., Texas.  Mammoths were present in this area during the Late Pleistocene Ice Age. Fantastic natural color! An excellent molar with a nicely articulated chewing surface. The molar chewing surface is 5-3/4" in length. A complete root. Completely fossilized. Weighs 4 lbs. with stand. This Megalodon has an incredible golden tan colored crown with an exceptional mahogany brown bourlette - essentially complete with two toned color. Highest quality enamel.
