A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus toe bone (metatarsal) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is a great toe bone with exceptional detail preserved and good color / patina. This is the metatarsal IV bone. You can see the "mushroom" appearance of proximal ends which is a characteristic of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur toe bone. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for the large frill protecting its neck. Triceratops had a spike on its cheek which is called the jugal "spike" (see photo). This jugal spike has exceptional detail preserved and great color / patina. A HUGE, High Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a very large adult Rex. A June 2020 Fossil of the Month. This massive Rex crown measures 4-9/16" (straight up) or 4-7/8" (straight line) or 5"+ (on curve) and has a big root (2" Wide). The enamel is good quality with some root etchings and natural cracks. Good brown color. The serrations are worn, but visible. The tip is good. Cracks are stabilized with some crack fill. No breaks - possibly one. A natural tooth from a BIG Rex! Note - most teeth of this size that you see are heavy restored and sometimes two teeth are put together! This tooth has original enamel from tip to base. A LARGE Chubutensis - upper jaw tooth on its original sandstone matrix. Gorgeous variegated brown, tan & gray colored enamel with no peel. Incredible color! Good side cusps.  Extra sharp serrations are incredible. The bourlette is a brown color and essentially complete. The root is excellent red brown color, nicely articulated, and complete with essentially no hydration cracks. Matrix size is 3" x 2-3/4". No repair. An excellent, extra large Peruvian Chub tooth!

This Megalodon has an incredible golden tan colored crown with an exceptional mahogany brown bourlette - essentially complete with two toned color. Highest quality enamel.
