Three natural Hoploscaphites nebrascensis ammonites in a cluster with excellent preservation of the shell material. There are three ammonites in this cluster. The shell material has some natural iridescence.  This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with multiple rows of tubercles (nodes). This specimen is sits in an original Pierre Shale nodule with a flat base for a great display. This ammonite is from the upper Cretaceous, Pierre Shale Fm. of So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed. A GEM, 4-3/8" Classic Peruvian Megalodon tooth. Our February 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light orange colored crown with an exceptional two tone bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional light orange color! The bourlette is excellent and complete. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. Essentially PERFECT serrations with partial damage to one. Exceptional serrations! The root is an excellent white color. This Megalodon was found in the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age). Note -  the "root ears"on the root and the exceptionally large serrations - Miocene traits.  One of the finest examples of a classic Peruvian Miocene Megalodon tooth considering the shape, color, and preservation. A Top Quality, 4-1/2" Classic Peruvian Early Megalodon tooth. Our 2nd February 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent tan bourlette. Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is excellent and essentially complete. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. The root is an excellent reddish brown color and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age).
