A TOP QUALITY rare Araucaria mirabilis pine cone cut and polished specimen from Argentina. These Jurassic pine cones are exquisite and known for their highy quality and extreme preservation. This cone is large and shows both great interior and exterior detail. The internal detail is exceptional. This specimen includes a rare stem section! Very few cones retained their stems. A very rare, early Macrorhizodus nolfi upper jaw, lateral tooth from Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. Macrorhizodus nolfi is a Lamnidae shark and an early Mako shark (Isurus praecursor) relative in this early Eocene deposit. The side cusps are complete. No repair. Authenticity guaranteed. Perfect tooth.

An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark whorl with 7 big crowns, from Herrin, Illinois. An October Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. This whorl is incredible teeth detail - the first 5 crowns are all natural and the the last two have some top repair. One of the finest whorls that I have had. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. Note - Two crown tips were professionally retored. Authenticity guaranteed. Seven plus crown whorl sections are ultra rare!  The BEST.

Note - the crown tips are naturally rounded (polished)  which thought to be due to wear from the vertical whipping motion used to slice prey. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. A rare, Top Quality ~5" CLASSIC Chile Megalodon tooth from the sand layer, Bahia Inglesa Fm., Caldera area, Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. Good quality enamel. The bourlette has a nice mahogany brown color and is 100% complete. The serrations are sharp with some damage. The root is excellent tan color and extra wide with a small sliver of damage on the side of the root. Good "eye appeal". Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. A rare Chilean Megalodon tooth from the old days! A rare, TOP Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site. This Megalodon has an excellent tan colored crown with a gorgeous golden tan colored bourlette. There is a fantastic multi-color pattern on the front of the tooth. Highest quality enamel. Great color!  The bourlette is large and essentially complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent "needle-like" tip serration. Excellent  serrations. The root is excellent and extra wide with some erosion on the display side. A 3-3/16" GEM Harleyville Auriculatus tooth.  A 2nd August Fossil of the Month. An exceptional upper jaw anterior tooth. Gorgeous tan colored crown with a red brown colored bourlette, and red root. Highest quality enamel! Exceptionally colored & preserved. The serrations are large and razor sharp with an good tip serration. The root is complete and well preserved. A killer color tooth from the Lafarge quarry. It is very hard to find these teeth in perfect condition. Museum Quality. A colorful, extra large collector's Harleyville Auriculatus tooth! A GEM HUGE, 4-1/4" CLASSIC Lee Creek Carcharocles chubutensis, a C. megalodon predecessor - upper jaw Principal Anterior tooth. LC006 is an absolute monster sized Chubutensis tooth. This tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (middle Miocene age). Note that the crown exhibits small cusplike bumps at the base of the serrated edge and the root ends also show grooves where the teeth interlocked. These are characteristic traits of the Lee Creek early Meg - C. chubutensis. A gorgeous light tan colored crown with an excellent tan bourlette. The bourlette is 100% complete. No enamel peel. The serrations are long, razor sharp, and essentially complete including a good tip serration. Highest quality enamel! The root is an excellent light tan color and complete. An exceptionally large Chubutensis collector's tooth. NO repair! The BEST of the BEST! One of my favorites. It will be difficult to find another early Meg like this one.
