A GEM, ~5-1/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our 2nd January 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light blue colored crown with an exceptional mahogany brown bourlette and mostly complete. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional tan & light blue color! The bourlette is excellent and near perfect. The serrations are razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. PERFECT serrations - razor sharp. Exceptional serrations for a big Meg! The root is an excellent light tan color with essentially no hydration cracks and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). Note -  the "root ears"on the root and the small cutting edge bump at the base.  One of the finest examples of a classic Lee Creek Miocene Megalodon tooth considering the shape, color, and preservation. LC005            Size: 5-3/16"

An ultra rare, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth - a large Rex tooth with a partial root (not a shed tooth). An August Fossil of the Month. This tooth measures 2-3/4".  The enamel has exceptional color and patina. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. The serrations are large and wrap around the tip. This tooth was recently erupted and had no tip wear. No hydration cracks or breaks. Note - the root section is 1-1/4"+ and with a wall that is nearly 1/4" thick. Not likely a shed tooth breaking that deep below the gum line. 100% natural tooth. A top quality tooth! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. An ultra rare, 5-5/8" GEM, Deep Red North Carolina Carcharocles megalodon, an upper jaw Principal Anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. This incredibly rare tooth is our February Fossil of the Month. NC001 has an incredible deep red colored crown. The finest color from the copper red site! The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are essentially prefect with a needle-like tip serration. The root is perfect. Definitely a Miocene Meg with "root ears" and serration bumps at base. Note - you rarely see a copper-red Megalodon shark tooth that has a top quality crown, root and serrations - a top .1% tooth from this site! A rare, Top Quality Classic Red Site Carcharocles megalodon from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. This Meg is an incredible upper jaw anterior tooth. An April Fossil of the Month. NC002 has an incredibly rich copper-red color. Fantastic color! The enamel is the highest quality with exceptional gloss. The serrations are large and 100% complete with a perfect tip. Bourlette is brown and 80% complete with minimal dentin layer exposed. The root is completeand nicely articulated. A very well preserved tooth. A TOP QUALITY, 5-3/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth from Aurora, No. Carolina. A May Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan colored crown with a large brown colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! The crown is very wide (4-9/16") - incredible! The bourlette is excellent, extra large and 99% perfect. The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent tip serration (they will cut your hand). An EXTRA LARGE ultra rare, Top Quality Red Site Otodus megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. An August Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon is a BIG upper jaw anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. Exceptional rich copper red color. The enamel is the highest quality, and there is a cool bite mark on the display side (see the 5th photo). The serrations are large, razor sharp, and essentially complete with a good tip serration. Bourlette is extra large and brown - dentin layer. The root is wide & complete. A Pliocene Meg tooth. Note - the front center strip of enamel was professionally restored (high point of the tooth only).
