A gorgeous Kosmoceras sp. ammonite from the Riazan region of Russia. Incredible pyrite replaced ammonites. Natural shell exterior is well preserved. Middle Jurassic age. No repair or restoration. The Diplomystus dentatus is a Herring fish from the Eocene age (50 MYA) in the ancient Lake Gosiute deposit. This piece is from the 18 Inch Layer which is extremely hard and difficult to prepare.
