An ultra rare, Top Quality Trierarchuncus prairiensis, an Alvarezsaurid dinosaur, hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Trierarchuncus prairiensis means the "Captian Hook" since they possessed a single claw on each arm. An excellent manus claw with rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible preservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. All surfaces are excellent - rare. Note - this claw is missing some of the proximal. An ultra rare Top Quality Stegoceras validum dome (frontoparietal skull bone) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Stegoceras is a smaller sized pachycephalosaurid dinosaur, and like Pachycephalosaurus, it is a dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. This is excellent quality juvenile dome with good color / patina. No cracks or restoration. There is a small sheer on the left side that occured prior to fossilization since it has the natural patina. Otherwise a complete dome. An ultra rare Stegoceras dome!  Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Stegoceras dome. Comes with a Riker display case. A Top Quality Hadrosaur maxilla (upper jaw) section from the late Cretaceous (Horseshoe Canyon Fm.) of North America. This jaw section contains 10 exposed teeth. This hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur was found in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation in Alberta. The maxilla possessed 100s teeth that were in rows of teeth which acted as conveyor belt to maintain a chewing surface to cut and grind their food. This specimen is a section of the lower jaw includes ten rows of teeth. Bone quality is excellent. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Horseshoe Canyon Fm., Alberta, Canada. Brachylophosaurus is a mid-sized hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Judth River formation. Bone quality is excellent. Note - the distinctive ventral ridge is located on the base of the ungual. One crack. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. An ultra rare, Top Quality EXTRA LARGE Edestus heinrichi shark whorl section with 3 big crowns, from Herrin, Illinois. An April Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. Note - extra long root whorl section with 3 extra large crowns - very rare. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY, very rare Basilosaurus cetoides, an Archaeocete whale tooth found in the Suwanee River, Suwanee Co., Florida. An excellent canine tooth (see photo for tooth positions).
