An exceptional Aetomylaeus sp., an Eagle ray, mouth plate from Caldera area of Chile. An excellent plate of pavement teeth from the lower jaw. The specimen resides on its original phosphorite matrix. This plate has exceptional preservation, fantastic dark red colors, and exceptionally clean. Note - the bottom side of this specimen is covered with matrix. A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A perfect "Pungo" hastalis tooth.

"The BEST of West Java." An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY BIG Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia.  A March Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent light brown colored crown and an excellent red-brown colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Great color! The bourlette is extra large and nearly complete. Our 2nd November FOTM is a GEM quality, rare Araucaria mirabilis pine cone specimen from Argentina. Extra large stem. Exceptional definition. Only slightly compressed.
