A Very Rare, Top Quality Hexanchus sp. lower jaw tooth from the Englishman River, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. This is a new and undescribed genius / species from a Santonian (Late Cretaceous) deposit - 85 MMYA. A very unique species of Hexanchiforme shark. The crown is complete (6 cusps) and the root is complete. High quality enamel. No repair. A very difficult tooth to locate and an excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A Top Quality Alethopteris sp. - fossil fern display piece from St. Clair, Pennsylvania. A December Fossil of the Month. Alethopteris is an extinct genus of primitive seed fern that evolved during the Pennsylvanian Period. This specimen is well preserved with white colored ferns on a near black colored shale matrix. This white coating is a characteristic of the mineral pyrophyllite. The St. Clair area is known for their white ferns on black matrix. Pennsylvanian age. (300 mya). It weighs 16.8 pounds.
