A GEM, 5-1/16" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our April 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light golden tan colored crown with an excellent hazel brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional golden tan color! A very rare, Top Quality Anchiceratops ornatus epoccipital (frill ornament) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Anchiceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Horseshoe Canyon formation which has three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This epoccipital has excellent detail preserved and great color / patina. The epoccipitals were triangular bone ornaments that lined the top of the frill.  Note - this epoccipital  position is naturally asymmetrical  (see 2nd photo of right side). This epoccipital exhibits incredible detail and is very thick & heavy. Nearly complete specimen with minor crack fill. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in Alberta, Canada. Authenticity guaranteed. Disposition number 000028-0000029.

An ultra rare, top quality 5-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth was found in the Ernst West quarry. An October Fossil of the Month.  This Megalodon tooth has the highest quality enamel with a great Blue & Tan color. The bourlette is a brown color and nearly complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. The serrations are complete with a good tip serration - incredible serrations for a large Sharktooth Hill Meg tooth! This is a middle Miocene Meg. Note - the grooves on the root ends and the small root "ears" at the top of the root - a Miocene Meg tooth feature!  Note - a 3/8" enamel section pooped off and was reattached on the right side (1/2" from the root).
