A very rare MASSIVE, High Quality  4-1/4" Tyrannosaurus rex  maxillary  tooth. A January Fossil of the Month. The enamel has a good color and patina. Good mesial and distal serrations. Base cross-section is a tall oval - very wide (1-9/16"). A thick and heavy tooth. There is some root etching, small crack fill, and a couple of small spots repaired near the base (see final photo). No restoration. 100% natural. A top quality BIG tooth top! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. An ultra rare Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth Mako, shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of Chile. An April Fossil of the Month.
