A rare, Top Quality, EXTRA LARGE Anzu wyliei hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Another June 2018 Fossil of the Month. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An exceptional manus claw. Highest quality rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible perservation with exceptional surfaces - no pitting, nicks or wear - superb surface articulation! There is some professional restoration which is typical for a big Anzu wyliei manus claw. The tip has a small section repaired and the proximal edge has a small triangular area repaired which starts at the center of proximal surface (see photo). A TOP QUALITY Paramylodon harlani sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from northern Florida. This sloth is known as Harlan’s ground sloth. This tooth has excellent preservation. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality serrated Albertosaurus premaxillary tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. This tooth measures 1-7/16" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. A rare, TOP QUALITY Megatherium americanum sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from the Pampean region, Uruguay. A March Fossil of the Month. Megatherium is from the family of the largest Ground sloths. This claw has excellent preservation. It is complete down to an excellent tip with essentially no restoration or repair. There appears to be a 1.5” area of the top of the sheath rim on the back side that may have minor restoration (see photo - a small area). Excellent preservation of the proximal end. An incredible massive Late Pliocene - Early Pleistocene display piece from Uruguay. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic Pleistocene giant ground sloth claw specimen. A rare LARGE, well preserved Glyptodon reticulatus scute from the Pampean region, Uruguay. A March Fossil of the Month. Glyptodon was the largest of the the oversized armadillos with a extremely thick shell. It evolved in the Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene in South America. An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY, classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth (predecessor of Megalodon) - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. Another December 2017 Fossil fo the Month.This Chubutensis has an incredible light tan and blue colored crown. The bourlette is great light tan color and complete. Highest quality enamel with a no hydration cracks. Exceptional color! The serrations are razor sharp and perfect with a needle-like tip serration. The root is an excellent tan color and absolutely complete. This Chubutensis was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). NO repair! Authenticity guaranteeed.
