This 6" Megalodon has an excellent red & tan colored tooth with a unique brown colored bourlette with "lightning strikes". High quality enamel. Exceptional color! The bourlette is extra large and 95% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent tip serration. Exceptional serrations for a BIG Meg tooth. The root is good with matrix on the rear which is most likely covering surface pits which are common to these Meg teeth. Miocene Age. An Ultra Rare, rooted Top Quality Allosaurus fragilis tooth measuring 3-3/8". This Allosaurus crown measures 1-1/2" and is wide for its size (5/8"). The enamel is high quality. Great rich brown color. Very good serrations on both sides all the way to the wear facet. Very good serrations for a large tooth. Two cracks was stabilizied. A little repair was done on the narrowest section of the root. Excellent overall condition with very good serrations. An excellent quality tooth! Allosuarus was the apex during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Moffat Co., Colorado. An ultra rare Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth Mako, shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of Chile. An April Fossil of the Month.
