A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". A rare Top Quality Megalodon tooth from the Georgia - an upper jaw anterior tooth. The crown has excellent BLACK color. The enamel is the Highest Quality. A Brown colored bourlette which is complete. Razor sharp serrations including an good tip serration. The root is a charcoal black color, nicely articulated, robust, and complete. An ultra rare GEM QUALITY, Classic Peruvian Megalodon tooth from the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age). A January Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent dark tan colored crown.
