The April 2015 "Fossil Shark Tooth of the Month" selection is a GEM, 4-3/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth. It has an excellent light blue colored crown with an exceptional, extra large hazel brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! The bourlette is incredible and near perfect. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurus magniventris was the largest Ankylosaur which grew to 30 feet and 17000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Ankylosaurus. The bone quality is excellent with excellent color and patina. This osteoderm has a high ridge on one side. There are some hydration cracks and crack fill. No restoration.
