A 3-3/16" GEM Harleyville Auriculatus tooth.  A 2nd August Fossil of the Month. An exceptional upper jaw anterior tooth. Gorgeous tan colored crown with a red brown colored bourlette, and red root. Highest quality enamel! Exceptionally colored & preserved. The serrations are large and razor sharp with an good tip serration. The root is complete and well preserved. An EXTRA LARGE, Colorful, Top Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia. This Megalodon has a tan colored crown with a GOLDEN tan  colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color!  The bourlette is complete. The serrations are razor sharp with a razor sharp tip serration. Excellent serrations with one strange area. As seen on the left side of  photo #1, the serrations are short and each serration is perfectly rounded. This area appears to be a natural wear facet from striking an opposing tooth. extremely uncommon in sharks. Very strange.
