A very rare, LARGE, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark tooth, from Herrin, Illinois. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. A TOP QUALITY, very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii. A large molar tooth. The first molar has a small width yoke design. An exceptional brown colored crown and root. Nicely articulated. Huge root. Note - enamel tip shows wear pattern on crown from grinding (see photo 3). Whales do not shed their teeth like the sharks so there teeth will wear with age. This tooth has no repair. A great Archaeocete molar from So. Carolina.  A very rare collector's tooth.

An ultra rare Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth Mako, shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of Chile. An April Fossil of the Month. This tooth has a brown, blue & charcoal crown and a brown root. Excellent color! Razor sharp cutting edge. Extra wide root (2-5/16"). Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. Near perfect tooth. This species is the ancestor to the Great White shark. A fantastic color collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A very rare, early Macrorhizodus nolfi upper jaw, lateral tooth from Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. Macrorhizodus nolfi is a Lamnidae shark and an early Mako shark (Isurus praecursor) relative in this early Eocene deposit. The side cusps are complete. No repair. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Whale Ear Bone, tympanic bulla, from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This is an essentially complete ear bone. Incredible preservation and color. An ultra rare, Top Quality Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Ica region of Peru. A July Fossil of the Month. Highest quality enamel. An excellent tan colored crown with clean edges. Excellent color. This is a late Miocene age tooth (6-8 MYA). Please note that there is an ~1/4" wedge restored on inside of the left root end. A desert shark from the deserts of Peru! A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus frill section from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is a great frill section with excellent detail preserved. You can see all of the natural blood grooves across the surface of the frill. No repair or restoration. 100% natural specimen. Legally collected on private land in Garfield Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. An adult specimen which is very thick - would have been located close to the skull.
