An Ultra Rare, Top Quality 5" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A November 2020 Fossil of the Month. This tooth is still embeded in its original Round Mountain silt matrix. Highest quality enamel with a super rare, natural solid WHITE color. This tooth is truly white, and the color is not due to mineralization or sun bleaching. An Ultra Rare, Top Quality 4-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A March 2021 Fossil of the Month. This tooth is still embedded in its original Round Mountain silt matrix block with a large whale bone. The whale bone is 7" long and 1.5" wide. Highest quality enamel with an excellent tan color. The bourlette is a tan color and 85% complete. The serrations are extra large and 100% complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. Also note the grooves on the root ends - a Miocene trait. This is a middle Miocene Meg - very unique! Note - This is a 100% natural matrix block with nothing added or glued. No repair or restoration other the very tip. A fantastic, GEM Quality, Mammuthus primigenius, Woolly Mammoth tusk from southwestern Siberia. An April Fossil of the Month. This tusk is a manageable size at 42” straight line measurement tip to end or 65" on the outer curve. This is the highest grade tusk available with no imperfections, no fill, best colors, perfectly preserved, and perfectly sealed. Both ends are completely intact and complete. It is a tusk of a teenage Bull mammoth which lived in the late Pleistocene Ice Age some 30,000 plus years ago. The large tusk diameter and weight indicate that this was a Bull mammoth.
