An ULTRA Rare, TOP QUALITY Parotodus benedeni tooth from Sharktooth Hill, near Bakersfield California. A December 2022 Fossil of the Month. This tooth has a highly desirable light tan enamel and a very massive root. This Parotodus benedeni tooth remains mounted on the original Round Mountain Silt matrix and it is sitting on a chunk of whale bone. The crown enamel has very good luster and very sharp edges. Highest quality enamel! Note -  a small (~1/8") tip repair was professionally done.  A very difficult tooth to locate and an EXCEPTIONAL Collector's tooth! An EXTRA LARGE Top Quality, Isurus oxyrinchus, the Shortfin Mako shark tooth (lower jaw anterior tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a blue & tan crown and a light brown colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Pliocene tooth from the Yorktown Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. This is the largest Oxyrinchus tooth one that I have seen!

A rare, incredibly preserved Asterocidaris meandrina, a fossil club echinoid (urchin). The specimen is fully inflated, nicely articulated, and complete with bulbous spines - a very aesthetic display. These “Club” echinoids on matrix include some composite spines/radioles from their species. This fantastic echinoid is middle Jurassic period from from Boulemane, Middle Atlas Mts., Morocco.
