A LARGE, well preserved horse tooth (Equus sp. ) from Ruskin, Florida.  The horse arrived in North America during the late Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene. Lower jaw tooth. A Top Quality Auriculatus tooth from Harleyville, So. Carolina. An excellent lateral tooth. A great tan colored crown with a brown colored bourlette, and a tan colored root. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color & preservation. The serrations are large and razor sharp. Two excellent large side cusps. The root is complete and very well preserved.
