A very rare, Alopias palatasi shark tooth, an extinct serrated Giant Thresher, from So. Carolina. Nice blue color. Good preservation, but there is erosion. Serrations are visible. This is a newly named species from the Late Cretaceous deep water Northumberland Formation deposit. A unique species believed to be Hexanchiforme shark.
