An EXTRA LARGE, pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopod from the Silica Shale Fm., Sylvania, Ohio. Brachiopods are bivalve molluscs, and this is a big one. Both valves present  - complete specimen and matrix free. Note -  1-1/2" thick and heavy! This is a Devonian (395 mya) brachiopod. The big Silica Fm. brachiopod. An Ultra Rare, Extra Large Pappocetus lugardi (Andrews, 1920) jaw section with 3 complete molars from Morocco. Pappocetus was in the Protocetidae family of ancient whales. Note – the molars demonstrate how massive Pappocetus teeth compared to the later primitive whales!  The root thickness doubles on one side and the crown gains depth as well. This material is a new find and represents one of the earliest transition forms of the whale. Pappocetus is a protocetid (see discussion below) and a large amphibious aquatic carnivore. Pappocetus is also an ancestor of the Basilosaurus.. This material is complete and without repair. Crack fill only on some pieces. This is an opportunity to own an incredibly rare specimen from an early evolutionary stage of the modern whale. A fantastic collector's specimen. Authenticity guaranteed.

An ULTRA RARE Top Quality, EXTRA LARGE Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth from a large adult T. rex. An April Fossil of the Month. This Rex crown measures 4-3/4" (straight line) or 5" (on curve) and 1-5/8" wide. The enamel is the high quality. Great brown & black color. A massive extra wide tooth. You can see why this bone crusher is referred to as a "banana tooth". Overall the tooth is excellent quality with crack fill. This is a real 5" tooth. Note - this tooth was found in the spring of 2021 and it was exposed to the winter freeze and thaw cycle which cracked the tooth in to pieces. This tooth was professionally prepared and put back together with missing area filled in. It looks incredible!  T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. See the detailed description to determine how to tell a real T-Rex tooth! A Top Quality Zuul crurivastator, an Ankylosaur, osteoderm or scute (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of North America. The Campanian age Ankylosaurs grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. The bone is exceptional quality with excellent color and patina. An EXTRA LARGE, High Quality Onchopristis numidus (Saw shark) rostal tooth from the Kem Kem area of Morocco. Onchopristis was a large, fearsome Cretaceous Saw shark, and it is believed to be a meal for Spinosaurus. A very robust rostal tooth. Great red color. Two cracks. No restoration.
