An incredibly preserved, juvenile Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius), an early elephant, molar found in Alaska . Mammoths were present in this area during the Late Pleistocene Ice Age. A TOP QUALITY, Metasequoia dakotensis cone from Montana. These "dinosaur age" pine cones are found in the Hell Creek Formation of Dawson Co., Montana. These Upper Cretaceous pine cones are high quality with great preservation. They are fully inflated spheres and maximun size (redwoods produce very small cones for their size!). An extinct early Deer-like Ruminant jaw (Leptomeryx evansi) from Sioux Co., Nebraska. Leptomeryx was one of many mammals that thrived in the Early Oligocene in North America. Found in the Brule Fm.
