An Ultra Rare, Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Sacaco area of Peru. This is complete lower jaw tooth. Superb preservation and color. Ten very large and sharp primary cusps. An excellent complete root that has a crack, but the crown never cracked. No repair or restoration. An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY, classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth (predecessor of Megalodon) - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. Another December 2017 Fossil fo the Month.This Chubutensis has an incredible light gray colored crown with fades to a golden tan. The bourlette is essentially complete and a great light brown color. Highest quality enamel with a no hydration cracks. Exceptional color! The serrations are razor sharp - near perfect with a needle-like tip serration. The root is an excellent light tan color and absolutely complete. This Chubutensis was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). NO repair! The Campanian age Ankylosaurs grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. An excellent raised keell. A complete scute from an Ankylosaur with some crack fill. ~76 MYA. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Havre, Montana. Discovered in 2016. Authenticity guaranteed.
