A Very Rare, High Quality Hexanchus microdon symphyseal tooth from Hornby Island, British Columbia, Canada. This is a species from the Late Cretaceous deep water Northumberland Formation deposit. A species of Hexanchiforme shark. The crown is complete (7 cusps!) and the root base is damaged. High quality enamel. No repair. An incredible, LARGE polished Goniatites sp., an early ammonite-like cephalopod showing the intricate internal chamber structure. The rock matrix is a beautiful marble material and the cavities are mineral filled! These Goniatites are beautifully polished on all sides. Thick (1-1/8"). This is a great early Ammonite. An excellent display item!

An Ultra Rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth. Another August 2018 Fossil of the Month. This Rex crown measures 4-1/2" (straightline) and is thick (1-9/16") - a massive Rex tooth. The enamel is very high quality and a rich dark brown color. Good posterior and anterior serrations with a small amount of natural tip wear. An extra wide base. This is a big and heavy tooth. Note - this tooth was cracked in a freeze cycle as evidenced by the cracks in the top half of the tooth. The preparator did a exceptional job prepping this tooth and it is rock solid now. A small area of the cutting edge was rebuilt about midway on both the anterior and posterior sides (see final photo). Excellent overall condition for a big Rex tooth. A Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth "Mako", shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the "De Kuilen" sand pit, Mill, The Netherlands. This is a "Blue" layer tooth which are know for the highest preservation and best color - rarely seen outside of Europe.This tooth has excellent color and preservation. Sharp cutting edge.
