The PERFECT, very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth. An April 2019 Fossil of the Month. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Exceptional light tan & blue color and preservation. An incredible wide bourlette. The root is ~5/8" thick and shows few small hydration cracks! Note- grooves on the sides of the root lobes - a Miocene tooth trait. One of the finest LC lateral Parotodus teeth that I have seen. This incredible Parotodus was found in the Pungo River Formation (Miocene age). An exceptional pathologic Otodus obliquus tooth from the Khouribga phosphate mining area of Morocco. This pathologic tooth exhibits unusual root depressions across the face of the root and has both side cusps coming out of the front of the root. A Top Quality Thescelosaurus neglectus pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Thescelosaurus is a mid-sized dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This claw is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. A some erosion the proximal end. Note - Thesc unguals are described as flat triangles.(see Thesc-Pachy claw differentiation discussion below). No repair and no restoration. A rare Thescelosaurus pes ungual! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. Excellent collector's quality Thescelosaurus claw. A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A perfect "Pungo" hastalis tooth.
