An ultra rare, Top Quality EXTRA LARGE Edestus heinrichi shark whorl section with 4 big crowns, from Sparta, Illinois. An August Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. Note - extra long root whorl section with 4 extra large crowns - very rare. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. Four crown whorl sections are extremely rare!

A rare, LARGE Top Quality Suwanee Auriculatus tooth from northern Florida. An exceptional upper jaw anterior tooth. Gorgeous charcoal gray colored crown with a brown colored bourlette, and brown root. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color & preservation with great river polish. The serrations are large and sharp with a good tip serration. The root is complete. An ultra rare Big, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a large adult Rex. A July 2020 Fossil of the Month. This stocky Rex crown measures 3-5/8" (straight line) and is thick for its size (1-1/4"). The enamel is highest quality. Great rich dark chocolate brown and black color. Excellent serrations on the anterior and posterior serrations. Note - There is no wear facet at the tip and this tooth is serrated to the tip (a recently erupted BIG tooth - rare). One partial hydration crack which was stabilized. No breaks. No repair or restoration. A 100% natural tooth! Fantastic overall condition with incredible serrations for a large Rex tooth.
