A rare, Top Quality Triceratops horridus rooted tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Another July 2018 Fossil of the Month. Triceratops is a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The enamel is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. Extra large root which is quite rare. Incredible preservation of the crown and root that shows their intricate detail. The chewing surface measures 1-1/14” with a very high ridge. This is a recently erupted tooth that has slight tip wear. No cracks or restoration. A rare rooted, extra large Triceratops tooth! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Carter Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Triceratops tooth. A rare, Top Quality Anzu wyliei toe (pes) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An excellent pes claw. Excellent rich brown color and patina. This specimen has excellent perservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. Note - the tip was professsionally restored which is typical for most Hell Creek claws. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus toe bone (pes digit) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is a great toe bone with excellent detail preserved and good color / patina. The last toe bone for digit 2 or 3 . You can see the "mushroom" appearance of proximal ends which is a characteristic of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur toe bone. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find. Absolutely no wear. No repair or restoration. 100% natural specimen. Legally collected on private land in Harding Co., So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed.

An EXTRA LARGE Ultra Rare, Top Quality Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis premaxillary tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A February Fossil of the month. This tooth is often referred to as the Pachy "Fang". There are posterior serrations present on this tooth. There is also a small wear facet on the tooth (quite common). Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. The enamel is excellent quality with great color and patina. A MASSIVE 6-5/16" Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia - an upper jaw Principal Anterior tooth. A June Fossil of the Month. The crown has excellent Dark Gray & Blue color. The enamel is the High Quality with small hydration cracks. A black colored bourlette which is mostly complete. Sharp, extra large serrations including an good tip serration. A very rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark tooth, from Herrin, Illinois. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois.
