A LARGE, Top Quality Chubutensis tooth - an upper jaw tooth from So. Carolina. Otodus chubutensis or Chubutensis is the extinct ancestor of the Megalodon shark. An excellent Charcoal Gray colored crown. High quality enamel. The black bourlette is complete. Sharp serrations are sharp with a slightly worn tip serration. The root is black colored and complete. Note the small cusp-like bumps at the base of the cutting edge and the grooves on the sides of the root ends - both are Chubutensis characteristics. No repair or restoration. An EXTRA LARGE, Colorful, Top Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia. This Megalodon has a tan colored crown with a GOLDEN tan  colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color!  The bourlette is complete. The serrations are razor sharp with a razor sharp tip serration. Excellent serrations with one strange area. As seen on the left side of  photo #1, the serrations are short and each serration is perfectly rounded.
