An ultra rare, Top Quality EXTRA LARGE Edestus heinrichi shark whorl section with 4 big crowns, from Sparta, Illinois. An August Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. Note - extra long root whorl section with 4 extra large crowns - very rare. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. A rare, early Auriculatus lateral tooth from Kzil-Orda region, Kazakhstan. The bourlette is complete. Excellent coarse serrations, large side cusps serrations, and with very irregular serrations. A HUGE, Top Quality Ptychodus mammillaris, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with strong transverse ridges across the cusp that transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - one margin has a natural crack which contains matrix within it and the root structure is missing. This is a rare species and a suer rare size - this specimen exceeds the maximum size recorded for Texas!

A very rare, Sphenodus tooth, from a very early shark. Absolutely great preservation - excellent condition with extra sharp cutting edges. These are Upper Jurassic age from Voskresensk, Russia. Note - there appears to be very minor repair (patch) on the rear of root (1/16" sliver area); left hand corner of the root of this tooth (rear side). Repair not visible front the display side. Bargain priced for a rare, killer Sphenodus tooth!

A very rare Top Quality, Allosaurus & Camarasaurus toe bone from the Morrison Fm. These toe bones are complete, and they reside on an Allosaurus  vertebra neural section as originally found. The Allosaurus toe bone is 2-1/2" and the Camarasaurus toe bone measures 2-3/8" in length. High quality bone. Rich brown color. Very good overall condition with minor bone erosion. Normal crack fill. No restoration. Allosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic and Camarasaurus was a medium-sized sauropod. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Emery Co., Utah. Authenticity guaranteed. Total display size is 5" x 5". A classic predator and prey display, and a very special collector's specimen!

Troodontid teeth are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations.
