A rare, TOP QUALITY  Megalodon tooth - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth from Calvert Cliffs, Maryland. One of our January 2018 Fossils of the Month. An exceptional tan and blue crown with a large brown bourlette - great eye appeal. High quality enamel - the surface is like glass! The serrations are razor sharp and essentially complete with a good tip serration - rare for a big Meg! A Top Quality Thescelosaurus neglectus pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Thescelosaurus is a mid-sized dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This claw is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. A little erosion at the tip, but otherwise a perfect claw. Note - Thesc unguals are described as flat triangles.(see Thesc-Pachy claw differentiation discussion below). No repair and no restoration. A rare Thescelosaurus pes ungual! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. Excellent collector's quality Thescelosaurus claw. A very rare, Top Quality Ceratopsian toe from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. There were three ceratopsian dinosaur species found in the Horseshoe Canyon formation. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. Bone quality is excellent. Processes are nearly ntact. Minor crack fill. No restoration. The May 2015 Fossil of the Month. My BEST GEM, EXTRA LARGE Megalodon PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR upper jaw tooth from the Ashapoo River, So. Carolina. A "PICTURE" Meg with a gorgeous light brown ("Ashapoo") crown with charcoal colored "clouds". Highest quality enamel. The medium brown bourlette is incredible, very glossy, nearly complete, and very showy. The serrations are incredibly large and sharp with an excellent tip serration, and 100% complete - perfect! Incredible serrations for a big Meg - among the finest (see the close photos)! The root is complete, nicely articulated, few hydration cracks and a gorgeous chocolate brown color. Excellent symmetry. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A March Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek Formation. This is a special horn with exceptional detail preserved with excellent color and natural patina. Fantastic surface articulation. You can see all of the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. Plus the horn base end is completely cleaned to see the internal terminus of the horn - a very complete specimen (see photo). The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple with minor crack repair. No extensive repair or restoration. It comes with the custom steel stand as shown.
