An ULTRA Rare, TOP QUALITY Parotodus benedeni, the False Mako, tooth from Sharktooth Hill, near Bakersfield, California. This tooth has an excellent tan colored enamel and a very massive root. The Carcharomodus escheri  was named as a new genus in 2015 based upon a crenulated cutting edge ("wavy serrations"), slender & distally inclined crown, and side cusplets.
