Our 2nd November FOTM is a GEM quality, rare Araucaria mirabilis pine cone specimen from Argentina. Extra large stem. Exceptional definition. Only slightly compressed. One of the finest pine cones that I have seen! No repair (that goes for all of the pine cones). This ultra rare cone is from an old collection with no new supply available. Authenticity guaranteed. A Very Rare, HIGH QUALITY Parotodus benedeni, the False Mako, tooth from Sharktooth Hill, near Bakersfield, California. This tooth has a nice tan & orange colored enamel and a very massive root. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Thescelosaurus neglectus pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Thescelosaurus is a mid-sized dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This claw is excellent quality with excellent color and patina.  One stress crack which was stabilized stabilized - no repair or no restoration. A super rare, extra large Thescelosaurus pes ungual! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An exceptional collector's quality Thescelosaurus claw. A High Quality Thescelosaurus neglectus pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Thescelosaurus is a mid-sized dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This claw is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. One crack is stabilized and the very end of the "wings" (the flat ledge below the blood groove) were filled for aesthetics - about a 1/16". An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Thescelosaurus neglectus caudal (tail) vertebra chevron from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A March Fossil of the Month. Thescelosaurus is a mid-sized dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The chevron is the appendage that resides below the tail vertebra that provides structure to the base of the tail. Chevron bones rarely survive and this one is 99% complete - very rare! This bone quality is excellent with excellent color and patina. No repair or restoration. An ultra rare Top Quality, Allosaurus fragilis finger III (including the manus claw and two non-associated digits). A February Fossil of the Month. This Allosaurus finger III measures 6". The manus claw measures 2-15/16" with exceptional bone quality. Rich black-brown color. Excellent overall condition. The tip was repaired. Both hand bones are complete with no rapair.
