An ultra rare, Angustidens tooth from Ungosa, Mangyshlak, western Kazakhstan. A November Fossil of the Month. This location produces top quality teeth with different enamel colors. A beautifully perserved Miocene Platybelodon (Gomphotherium relative) molar.  This strange ancestral elephant had two large shovel tusks on the front of its lower jaw. Excellent evenly worn cusps.
