An Ultra Rare, copper-red Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Meherrin River, No. Carolina. Rare deep cherry red color with exceptional gloss. Highest quality enamel. Great preservation and condition - extra sharp edges and a naturally rounded tip - very clean. The root shows very nice detail and is complete and large. A unique species of Chlamydoselachiform shark, the Frill shark. These teeth exhibit classic Frill shark design with a central cusp flanked by two lateral cusps. A matrix tooth.
