An EXTRA LARGE Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue & tan crown and a light brown colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A perfect "Pungo" hastalis tooth.

"The Best of West Java".  An ultra rare EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY 6" Megalodon - upper jaw tooth from West Java, Indonesia. A January Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent tan & orange-tan and orange bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is large and 98% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent tip serration. Incredible serrations for a BIG Meg. The root is wide with a light tan color and complete with no pitting. An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY, very rare Basilosaurus cetoides, an Archaeocete whale tooth found in the Suwanee River, Suwanee Co., Florida. An excellent canine tooth (see photo for tooth positions).  An excellent black colored crown and root. Nicely articulated. Note - enamel tip shows a small wear pattern on crown. Whales do not shed their teeth like the sharks so there teeth will wear with age.
