Note - this tooth has the same design as Archeroraptor PM tooth (prior Zapsalis) which was thought to be used to preen feathers. An April Fossil of the Month. Pectinodon is a small Troodontid and has teeth similar to Troodon.  Pectinodon are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. A Top Quality, Extra Large Sperm whale tooth, Scaldicetus sp., from the ACE river basin, So. Carolina. A Miocene age whale tooth. This tooth has a wonderful spiked enamel crown and a large, nearly complete round root. The tip of the crown has a small natural wear facet - quite common for these teeth. This tooth shows excellent detail - very well preserved. The root is extra wide and nicely articulated. A very well preserved specimen with no river wear! An excellent BIG Sperm whale tooth. A HIGH QUALITY, 6-1/4" No. Carolina Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown which turns to orange at the base of the crown. It has an exceptional mahogany brown bourlette with a natural two toned color. Highest quality enamel. Incredible tan and orange color! The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. Excellent serrations for a really big Meg! The root is an excellent tan color with very few no hydration cracks and complete. This Megalodon was found offshore of Wilmington, No. Carolina. Megalodon teeth from this locations are typically damaged and worn due to ocean currents and rarely rate above commercial grade. This BIG Meg is an exception. It has excellent enamel, serrations, and color! A very rare find for this this location. It does have two small aesthetic repair s done. On the right of the tip (short side) the serrated edge was restored and the very top of the bourlette was restored.  The end result is a very attractive  and affordable BIG Meg tooth which will fit as the center piece of someone's collection. You are not going to find a more attractive 6-1/4" Megalodon tooth and never one from Wilmington, NC. A great buy!

The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. This piece is from the 18 Inch Layer which is extremely hard and difficult to prepare. A serrated Top Quality Tyrannosaur juvenile premaxillary tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian - Two Medicine Fm.) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 13/16" -  an excellent juvenile premaxillary (front) Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. This premax tooth is fully serrated, and the serrations are incredible. Serrated to the tip with an excellent unworn tip. No crack, repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Two Medicine Fm., Glacier Co., Montana. Most likely an excellent Daspletosaurus juvenile tooth based on size and roundness of the tooth cross-section. Authenticity guaranteed. An excellent collector's tooth. An ultra rare, 5-5/8" GEM, Deep Red North Carolina Carcharocles megalodon, an upper jaw Principal Anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. This incredibly rare tooth is our February Fossil of the Month. NC001 has an incredible deep red colored crown. The finest color from the copper red site! The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are essentially prefect with a needle-like tip serration. The root is perfect.
