An ultra rare, GEM Quality Tyrannosaur hand bone from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this toe bone could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. An October Fossil of the Month. This hand bone measures 1-7/16" - an exceptional quality, juvenileTyrannosaur hand bone. The bone is the highest quality and complete with excellent color. It has the characteristic hump on top. A gorgeous Quenstedticeras lamberti ammonite from the Saratov region of Russia. Incredible pyrite replaced ammonite with a crystal lined interior. A fantastic, top quality, Mammuthus primigenius, Woolly Mammoth tusk from Siberia. An August 2019 Fossil of the Month. This tusk is a manageable size at 39” straight line measurement (45" on the curve). It is a tusk of a sub-adult mammoth which lived in the late Pleistocene Ice Age some 28,000 plus years ago. This is a complete tusk with rich colors of natural browns, blues, and charcoal grays which has been properly dried and sealed. The enamel shows exceptional detail.
