A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich tan & blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.

A rare, TOP Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site. This Megalodon has an excellent BLUE & light tan colored crown with a unique black colored bourlette. A GEM, 4-7/8"+" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - an upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. This Meg has an incredible light tan and blue colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel - complete! Exceptional color! The bourlette is excellent and complete! The serrations are large and razor sharp - perfect. An excellent tip serration. Exceptional serrations for a big Meg! The root is an excellent tan color and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 15 MYA).
