An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Alopias palatasi shark tooth, the extinct serrated Giant Thresher, from the Nottoway River, Virginia. A January Fossil of the Month. This is a Virginia Red Site tooth with excellent copper-red color. Excellent preservation and condition. Perfect serrations. A Miocene tooth. A February Fossil of the Month.  This sloth claw has excellent preservation, and is 100% complete with no damage. Great black bone color and texture with a highly articulated natural bone surface. A very rare, High Quality Otodus auriculatus, an early Giant White shark, tooth from the phosphate mines of Hahotoe, Togo. Very good color and preservation. A rare, TOP QUALITY Megatherium americanum sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from the Pampean region, Uruguay. A March Fossil of the Month. Megatherium is from the family of the largest Ground sloths. This claw has excellent preservation. It is complete down to an excellent tip with essentially no restoration or repair. There appears to be a 1.5” area of the top of the sheath rim on the back side that may have minor restoration (see photo - a small area). Excellent preservation of the proximal end.
