An incredibly sized, Top Quality Great White shark transition tooth (Carcharodon hubbelli) from Chile. An August 2019 Fossil of the Month. This ULTRA RARE, MONSTER sized Great White tooth measures 2-15/16" - a huge upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. This tooth is an ultra rare Carcharodon hubbelli with small serrations at the base of the cutting edge that disappear towards the tip. High quality enamel! Excellent color. Incredible large "gum line" and a wide root .This was a big shark. Exceptional preservation - note the preserved nutrient hole on the root. Absolutely no repair or restoration. An ultra rare BIG Chilean Great White transition tooth. A TOP QUALITY, 4-5/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - an lower jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. This Meg has an incredible light tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is excellent and near perfect. The serrations are large and razor sharp - essentially perfect with an exceptional tip serration. Excellent serrations - razor sharp! The root is an excellent tan color and absolutely complete. Excellent anterior symmetry! This Megalodon was found in the Pungo Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 15 MYA). One of the finest examples of a classic lower jaw anterior Lee Creek Megs considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine!
