A 2nd May 2016 Fossil of the Month is a GEM light brown colored "Picture" Megalodon - PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Fantastic colors - a mix of light brown, reddish brown, some blue and charcoal highlights. Highest quality enamel - glass-like surface with no hydration cracks. The finest enamel preservation - very rare! A very nice deep brown bourlette - 100% complete. Razor sharp serrations including an excellent tip serration. The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. One of the finest preserved Megalodon teeth that I have seen. A Top Quality, 4-1/2" Classic Peruvian Early Megalodon tooth. Our 2nd February 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent tan bourlette. Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is excellent and essentially complete. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. The root is an excellent reddish brown color and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age). Note -  the "root ears"on the root, root wing grooves, the exceptionally large serrations, and Chubutensis-like humps at the base of the serrations - all Miocene traits. A top quality example of a classic Peruvian Miocene Megalodon tooth considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days! Museum Quality Megalodon. A FOTM is back. A GREEN TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE Megalodon upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth from the So. Edisto River, So. Carolina. A fantastic green colored crown with tan color approaching the tip, and the serration color fades to a charcoal gray color. Very cool colors! High quality enamel. The bourlette is brown.The serrations show some wear, and are essentially complete with a good tip serration. Very good serrations for a big Meg. The root is nicely articulated with a nice brown color. Excellent symmetry. This is an excellent big Meg. Weighs more than 1 lb. NO repair! AN EXCEPTIONAL BIG GREEN MEG from So. Edisto River. A ~5" GEM JET BLACK colored Megalodon - lower jaw ANTERIOR tooth. An exceptional true black crown - not a charcoal gray color. Highest quality enamel - the surface is like glass! The large jet black bourlette is essentially complete. The large serrations are razor sharp with a good tip. The serrations are essentially complete - rare for a big Meg! The root has few hydration cracks and is complete. A GEM BLACK Meg tooth from the Miocene. A killer collector's tooth!

ST952           SIZE: 1-7/8"

An ultra rare, Thalassocnus, a Swimming Sloth, claw. This sloth lived on the west coast of So. America during the late Miocene age. The rare claw is from the Bahia Inglesia Formation, Copiapo, Chile. Fantastic red color. Very good condition with minor damage (erosion). No repair.  I have not seen a swimming sloth claw for sale before. This is all of the sloth material that I have from 10+ years ago! A rare collector's claw.

C931  BoP         Size: 2-1/8"

A very rare, High Quality Otodus auriculatus, an early Giant White shark, tooth from the phosphate mines of Hahotoe, Togo. Very good color and preservation. This tooth is Lutetian age (45 MYA), lower middle Eocene. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. An extremely rare Auricularus tooth. I have only seen five of them.

An ULTRA RARE, MONSTER Great White shark transition tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli from Chile. A BIG upper jaw lateral tooth. A June Fossil of the Month. This tooth has a tan colored crown, a distinct gum line, and a brown root. Good color! Highest quality enamel with little hydration cracks and no peeling. This C. hubbelli tooth has medium serrations at the base of the cutting edge, transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. Serrations are large at the base with a good tip serration. The root is extra wide. Note - the root root lobe was cracked and probably reatttached - hard to see. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. No repair or restoration. An exceptional Great White transition form!  It will be extremely difficult to locate Carcharodon hubbelli. A super rare collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
