Ptychodus whipplei - Specimen teeth
This catalog contains very nice teeth from an early Hybodotid shark - Ptychodus whipplei. The Ptychodus had a diet of shell fish. Thus this shark had crusher teeth and they are very unique, robust, and nicely articulated. These teeth were collected in the Atco Formation of the Austin Group (Coniacian - Upper Cretaceous - 90 million years ago). All teeth are complete and well preserved. Note - Teeth dimensions are width and height in inches.
