Details

This catalog contains excellent teeth from Otodus sokolovi. Otodus sokolovi is the Mid to Late Eocene transition from O. auriculatus (early Eocene), and it is the predecessor of O. angustidens (Oligocene). Otodus sokolovi teeth are noted for their triangular crown and very large side cusps which are heavily serrated. These teeth are from the Eocene (38 million years ago).

Please note that all of these Otodus sokolovi teeth were found in the Santee Limestone Formation from cement quarries around Harleyville, So. Carolina, and exhibit the finest quality preservation. No "river polish" or artificial shine like you will see on many of the river derived O. sokolovi teeth. These teeth show extraordinary preservation and detail with razor sharp serrations! One of the finest locations for O. sokolovi teeth specimens in the world. Are you looking for a great Otodus sokolovi, please have a look!

I purchased an incredible collection of Otodus sokolovi (Auriculatus) teeth and I can offer the largest selection of high quality Rics ever. The O. sokolovi is 10 times more rare than the Angustidens which is 100 times more rare than the Megalodon. Get them while they last!!! Unfortunately, there is no access to the mines for collecting today.

Note - The Harleyville area O. sokolovi are a late stage of Auriculatus development.

Note - all teeth sizes are slant height unless otherwise noted.
