A well preserved juvenile bison toe bone (Bison antiquus) from Northern Florida.  This is the second toe bone (phalanx).  The bison arrived in North America during the middle Pleistocene (195, 000 to 135,000 years ago). A fantastic, large well preserved Jurassic brachiopod from Poix-Terron, France. All fully inflated and complete. Brachiopods are bivalve molluscs.
