Isurus xiphodon (Cosmopolitodus & Carcharodon) - Shark Tooth Listing By Species

This catalog contains exceptional teeth from the big-tooth Mako shark - Isurus xiphodon. Note - this species is now being lumped back into hastalis, and it was recently renamed twice (Cosmopolitodus and Carcharodon) to suggest it was not a Mako shark, but a new shark genera that is the pre-cursor to the Great White shark. The Isurus xiphodon is the widest form of the Mako shark which is believed to be the extinct ancestor or the Great White shark, Carcharodon carcharias. We have a wide selection of Isurus xiphodon teeth from Chile and Lee Creek. Authenticity guaranteed.
